Dr. Fontina Rashid is a licensed psychologist with many years of experience devoted to understanding, assessing, and treating learning and attention disorders with children, adolescents, and young adults.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and an M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Georgia State University, which included a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Florida.
Direct clinical experience working with individuals from preschool through college, focused on the identification of learning difficulties, has provided her with an understanding of learning profiles and learning needs over time.
Services:
Dr. Rashid provides comprehensive psychological evaluations designed to obtain thorough information related to each client’s learning profile. Evaluations identify the presence of learning, language, or attention disorders as well as psychological diagnoses that may impact functioning.
Results from these evaluations guide planning for academic placement, intervention, and accommodations. She serves children from preschool through young adulthood.
